In 99 he was tested positive on EPO!

That ride up to Morzine was so incredible. Seriously, it was almost unbelievable. Finding out he was doped up suddenly made it very believable... and utterly depressing. I'm pretty sure that Lance Armstrong and 90% of the peloton of that era were taking the same illegal drugs... and that doping continues today. It's such a shame that to win the Tour, you've got to be a) a great rider, b) on drugs and c) not get caught. It's not good enough to be just a great rider. Tragic.

This could be used in an ad campaign to get young cylists interested in performance enhancing drugs.

Dopers Kill the Sport! lame..

@schobo actually - after reading his POSITIVELY FALSE book that was published about him . . .it explains it all, that he was convicted falsely and that there was a crack on the drug testing system of the biking union.

@MrGrunz say where can you get one of these altitude tents??? oh and I need some blood to ;)

From his perspective: he just got caught, the others didn't

Very interesting details in Landis' recent confessions and interviews. While he admits doping and transfusions, in the 06 TDF he says he no longer used testosterone. Rather, he used HGH (human growth hormone) and blood transfusions. So when he was "caught" for testosterone, he was flabbergasted and confused. He believes that he was indeed "set up" somehow by the UCI and the test lab. Doping irony...
