C'est un beau morceau très représentatif de son époque. La voix fait effectivement penser à feu Cobain. Pour le reste on est en pleine proggerie. Excellent.

Nirvana is perhaps the finest band in the 90's. I was surprised at "Smells Like Teen's Spirit" at the time. As you said, this vocalist's style sounds like C. Kobain's in the point of dark lyricism, though Kobain's is more desperated and shouted.

Bien l'atmosphère de l'époque d'un groupe dont je n'avais jamais entendu parler. Pour ce qui est du rapprochement avec Nirvana, il est peut-être un peu osé même s'il est vrai que le fond de voix, par certains accents, rappelle Cobain, sans bien sûr le déchirement. L'influence folk anglaise me semble très marquée, par l'usage du mellotron et aussi de la flûte. Un Cobain agreste... Heureux néanmoins de découvrir. merci.

Oui tu as raison, c'est par certaines intonations de voix que je compare ce chanteur à Cobain,mais bon...c'est clair que l'atmosphére de ce morceau est bien Rock Progressif planant de la fin des années soixante. Je trouve ce morceau trés frais encore de nos jours...

the singer's voice remember me the Curt Kobain's style (Nirvana)....isn't it ??
So in the 90's i loved Curt Kobain's music; but this Writing on the Wall's tune was so wonderful,this is the perfect harmony with Psych' and deep Progressive Rock....This song is from 1969 and C. Kobain was just a kid ! lol ... I don't know if this song was a "Classic" ; i think it's a Beautiful forgotten tune :)
