  • great vid! just a tip. for the 767 you showed the 200 and air Canada owns the 300. for the 777 you forgot the 200 as well. then for jazz you missed the dash-8 300 and you should add the dash-8 400 soon. and ALSO you missed air Georgians beechcraft 1900. still a great video :D

  • Cool video! If anyone is interested, you can also find the current fleet and historical fleet on Air Canada's website

  • i never knew there was a 727 in the fleet and why did they retire their 747's?

  • My favourites all time for the older aircraft were the L-1011 and the stretch DC-8.

Always felt safe on the B767 for some reason after the Gimli incident.

Anyone remember the bar and dance floor on the B747 upper deck in the 70's?

And yeah, I know they used B747 on the Toronto-Montreal route, I flew it more than once.

  • They still use a340s dude

  • @Millard97 Lol messed up at least put in an a340 for shits and gigs eh?

  • @SuperVideoman12 DHC was sold to Boeing in the mid 80s. It lost money and was flipped to Bombardier in 1992. There was a lot of political pressure with this deal. Since, however, they've figured out how to do develop and improve the Dash 8 line (See the Q400).

  • bombardier makes the dash-8???? i thought DeHaviland did

  • and its impossible that they would use a 747 drom montreal to toronto

  • AC never had the 747 on a routine flight YUL-YYZ

unless it was needed at that stn or for maint. or it completed an international leg. For every 777 we got, we returned an a340 back to the lessor. It was an older AC, and less fuel efficient than the 330, being only 2 engines. We do need larger AC for our asia routes, which the 777 & 787's will become the backbone. The 787's will phase out the 330's

    Main reason - fuel efficiency.
