Hmmm, very interesting, well I appreciate you for taking the time to share this video with us. However, I really don't see myself ever eating a sea urchin. I used to eat oysters and clams but I guess a sea urchin is probably in the same family. However as of lately I've been learning more about how our bodies operate and trust me, we are a lot better off without putting a lot of the meats in our bodies. Although in moderation it's probably ok. However I think I can live without the urchin:).

This sea urchin and so many others are eaten throughout the Pacific and abroad.Its marketed and sold around the world mainly to Japan,Korea,China and France.In NZ the roe is separated into a small punnet and exported overseas and they dont come cheap.So this is one of the Pacific money maker.Yellow Caviar.I came from the Cook Islands and our urchins spikes are as big and long as your fingers.The other ones has spikes as long and skinny and very poisonous.
