There is a rest stop in macinac city. They offer a service to take your sleds over the bridge on a trailer. The straights don't get enough ice to go across usually. However, every year, there is an "ice bridge" or frozen part of lake michigan between St. Ignace and macinaw island. Its lined with pine trees and you can ride your sled accross to the island.

all that way for pizza should of stoped at foggy's in christmas for a steak yummy i haven't bin there in years i miss it

and also, is it possible to hook a sled up with some more and brighter lights?

ok you start in frederick? 10 miles north of grayling? so how do you cross to da UP on a sled?

the log slide is an easy walk compared to the Ebon ice caves or Miner's falls, nothing beats a good weekend in the UP
