A video walkthrough for Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth for the Nintendo DS. Episode 3: The Kidnapped Turnabout, Part 11.

In this part, Edgeworth examines the simulation of the crime scene. There's a slight problem with it--it doesn't account for the blood. As it turns out, there IS no blood in the crime scene because the victim was wearing a Blue Badger costume.

Ema Skye confirms that the victim was in costume, and Edgeworth uses this information to debunk Oldbag's testimony that the person who was shot was completely ordinary. Oldbag confesses that she saw the murder from a long distance away, which makes her eyewitness testimony worthless.

  • It's Ema. Eh. Ma.

  • @UltimateStarky No, that's Emma with two m's. Ema has a longer "e".

    ...I think.

  • @GCDotNet Nope, Ema is pronounced "Ehmah." How do you know if an E is long or short by jst looking at it?

  • @LeeStudios815 Generally, you can't tell the length of a vowel by looking at it. In the case of a word starting with "em", the "e" is long if it stands alone as its own syllable. If the "e" is paired with the "m" to make the syllable "em", then it's a short "e".

Most languages with long and short syllables are weird about pronunciation. It'd be a lot easier if they followed rules like "the first syllable is always long".

  • @Skelpolu nevermind, in both languages its Emma.

  • @GCDotNet German pronunciation: Long E; English pronunciation: Emma

So basically - Ema in german is Eh-Ma, and Ema is english IS indeed Emma.

  • @PlatoBear7 he's holding two fingers out. i'm not sure why, i've never seen anyone shrug with two fingers out lol.

  • the angle of the gunshot wound is also a contradiction

  • if you look at Edgeworths right hand at 6:44 you can tell that he REALLY doesnt like oldbag because he's flicking her off!

  • @GCDotNet I actually used to know someone named Ema and she pronounced it like Emma. But that could just be a personal thing. I guess either way is correct.

  • 3:39

    EPIK DS FORENSIC MACHEEN FTW

  • @GCDotNet According to the normal laws of English, you would be correct. Unfortunately, the so called "laws of English" are so often broken that it's hard to call them that, so it's really hard to tell. I say it the same way you do, but maybe it's just because I've become so accustomed to hearing it that way xD
