What if he believes but HAS NOT, according to you, confessed his sins yet. Certainly belief would come first. What if he HAS NOT repented yet. Certainly he believed FIRST. You do not, in practice, believe that people are saved AT THE POINT of belief any more than I do.

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power TO BECOME the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Now. IF ... IF ... one is a saved person at the point of belief, he would be THEN and THERE a child of God. But the verse simply says that a believer has the RIGHT .. the LIBERTY .. the POWER to become a son of God of child of God.

"Believers 'have the right TO BECOME' children of God!" Plain and simple. Anyone who believes in Jesus Christ has that right - that liberty of action. Why quote that verse - it also is against you
