Firenza and Kiana, my young Eurohounds (2 and 2.5 years old), skijoring with me. This is only their fourth skijor run together and Kiana's fourth skijoring run ever. I should be able to skate better as I get used to my balance, the new skis, and my new second dog, Kiana, the dog on the left. They got distracted by some horses in a nearby pasture halfway through the run. We all need more practice, but I think the dogs are doing great !

Thanks. :) The camera is a GoPro Hero, the higher end model of the two Heros. I really like the camera. Heh. I thought I WAS breathing pretty hard on the video. It is fairly tiring, depending how much effort I put in. Yeah, sometimes Brio sniffs various things and he gets a bit sidetracked, but he catches up.

  • This is AWESOME! Love the video. I forgot what kind/brand of helmet cam you're using? hehee, I would be huffing and puffing much more than I heard on your video. I can see Kiana getting out of sync in pace with Firenza, but she gets back on track pretty quickly. I thought Brio was lost at the beginning of the video between the 2:30 and 3 minute mark :)

That one time he ran across the front of the girls, the girls followed him off to the side, so they were equally to blame ! Anyway, I could have edited the run more so that it looked a lot more perfect, but I didn't. :)

My dogs come from the lines of Ivana Nolke. Hey, be nice to my sweet retriever boy, Brio ! This is only the fourth time that I have ever run him loose with the girls like this, so it is a learning experience for all of the dogs ! Overall, he's doing well and improving on each run.

  • Nice trail. Just wide enough, eh. Where did your dogs come from? Damm that reteriver keeps getting in the wrong spots!
