  • @cuwer15 wow! thats quite a rant! So much anger and agression. You're not Darth Vader are you? Youtube is meant for debate and opinion so this is always subjective to the topic in question. But you are right in one respect, after Perry no one fits INCLUDING Arnel. Perry was so good he bacame Journey. The rest of this great band could be replaced tomorrow and no one would know. This is not to say Arnel is not a good singer, i think hes superb. Hes just not as good as Perry thats all. But who is?

  • @MAGNUM2F It is all conditioning. The mind is sooo used hearing the voice of SP singing these songs. Then associate the name SP to be synonymous with Journey. Now that there is another voice singing the Journey songs, the mind has difficulty to accept it. It is like a divorced man adjusting to a new girlfriend. IMHO

  • @morganna714 If it was. you are lucky !!! and i ´d like to tell us more about... him and them ......please!!!!

  • SEPARATE WAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • desacargando, es oro puro!!

  • this was the year I got to see them live in Mobile, AL and THEY ROCKED!

  • Steve Perry will always be the voice of Journey and that will never change, whether he is in the band or not.

  • @e77toe77 Every live concert I went to was always better. Thats what made them worth seeing live!!!!! Other than seeing Steve Perry of course :)

  • @Shih7 No it's not. It's the fact that Steve Perry is Journey. All others are 2nd's and thirds. Somebody else singing Steve's songs. Nothing more. We love Steve Perry for making Journey the band it was. His awesome voice is one of a kind and nobody can duplicate only imitate. Steve Perry had passion and I so miss him but will always listen to him even if it came down to pulling out the turntable, I would listen to my old albums over someone trying to be Steve Perry anytime!!!!! <3

  • @UrbanHuman You are quite correct. My comment was rhetorical but i guess what im saying is thats its not bad to be behind singers like perry because most singers out there are way behind him! But gramm, mercury, plant, bickler, etc... are also top drawer vocalists and after that i guess it comes down to subjectivity and personal preferance. Journey are not my favourite band, by a long way but i think Perry has to be the best (I.M..O ) rock singer ever...

  • @MAGNUM2F Lou Gramm (of Foreigner) in his prime. He was on par with Steve Perry. Both were amazing vocalists that became the heart and soul of the bands they fronted, and were largely responsible for the success and "super group" status that each band attained. This is not a put-down on SP (I'm a huge fan), but just answering your question, "but who is?"
