From His 1980 Album Telekon.

Lyrics:

And what if God's dead
We must have done something wrong
This dark facade ends
We're independent from someone

This wreckage I call me
Would like to frame your voice
This wreckage I call me
Would like to meet you, meet you
Soon

We write suggestions
Suggesting fading to silence
And that must please you
My mirror's tarnished with 'no-help'

This wreckage I call me
Would like to frame your voice
This wreckage I call me
Would like to meet you, meet you
Soon

(Japanese phrase - means "Goodbye, forever")

Turn out these eyes
Wipe off my face
Erase me

Replay 'The end'
It's all just show
Erase you

I need to I need to I need to

This wreckage I call me
Would like to frame your voice
This wreckage I call me
Would like to leave you, leave you
Leave you, leave you soon

(Japanese phrase - means "Goodbye, forever")

  • There should be a revival of interest for Gary's material. I can't believe this stuff... I did not even know about gary numan a few weeks ago... what a shame.

  • Innovation............this is light years ahead, even today sounds fresh and the lyrics are simply superb.

  • 100% class. this is the good electronic music. feelings and machines combined together.

  • @Delsanar Sort of, OCD is shall we say unhealthy? However, the simple act of enjoying same music, same artists, same cars, same things really is not bad, if what you enjoy are best at their craft? I offer Gary Numan, Dodge, RUSH, male felines, USC cheerleaders, those who have no equal/peers?

  • @Acadianiste ...Get your arse out there and get his back catalogue...( Forget the 'Machine and Soul' album though...lol ;-)....)

  • @Delsanar Yes, and?

  • Very cool song. Numen and Thomas Dolby changed my musical taste from that classical rock to the next stage of music. In 1980, I thought this music would help change most people over but then it died and corporate metal took over and killed everything. At least, alternative came back to sane music.

  • If his music was first released this year, it would be fresh and new and remarkable. The fact that it still sounds so is nothing short of amazing. No one sounds like Gary Numan.
