Extramarital sex leads to earthquakes: Iran cleric

An Iranian cleric has proclaimed that inappropriately dress women leading to extramarital affairs are the reasons behind the devastating earthquakes that frequently rattle the country. Speaking to worshipped at the Friday prayers here on Apr 16, senior cleric Ayatollah Kazem Sedighi said, "Many women who dress inappropriately ... cause youths to go astray, taint their chastity and incite extramarital sex in society, which increases earthquakes.Calamities are the result of people's deeds...We have no way but conform to Islam to ward off dangers," the teligious leader is quoted as saying in newspaper reports.

Down here in southwest Georgia (in the southern part of the United States) we have plenty of women who dress way more immodestly than the average women in Iran, and I can't recall this area ever having an earthquake. I am talking about large numbers of women wearing booty shorts, getting drunk at the clubs, and getting their freak on outside of marriage.
