it takes such talent to make 1 rhythm work and stay in the pocket through a whole song. sgt. pepper's drums are even more effective. strawberry fields' kick/snare 4/4 into the huge drum section is so perfect/simple. the hi-hat and kick drum parts are so interesting and overlooked. like the open hi-hat on Lucy's verses is so dreamy and hypnotic. it lulls along and sits so well in the mix. then you get to those wonderful fills on "A Day In...". most modern drum parts are just distracting.

The Beatles were gods on earth, and this was their most heavenly and inspired recording. To think, to think, that this was 36 months after She Loves You--it absolutely beggars the human imagination.
10,000 years from now, men will say we lived in the Age of the Beatles. To prove the point, they will play this inspired recording of Tomorrow Never Knows. The title of the record, itself, ranks with Shakespeare.

@signofempathy If you buy the Beatles Anthology 2 CD it's the 17th song. Their is more out takes on that CD and Beatles Anthology 1 and 3
