Even as an American I think this is hilarious. I'm from Colorado, the skinniest state in the US, we even have a lower average BMI than most of Europe, so I never used to get the americans are fat jokes until I visited Texas. I instantly understood every fat american joke I'd ever heard. I shouted "Man the Harpoons!" at just about everyone I met.
