Christmas on Mars Flaming Lips Interview with Wayne Coyne 2

Eric caught up with Wayne Coyne before The Flaming Lips took the stage Friday June 6, 2008 at the Wakarusa Music Festival in Lawrence, Kansas, where The Flaming Lips set up a special circus tent, served green popcorn, and screened the new Flaming Lips movie "Christmas on Mars" for only the second time ever (the first was just one week before at the Sasquatch! Music Festival in George, Washington. Wayne Coyne talks about what inspired him to make the movie -seven years in the making - what to expect, and why he is obssessed with Christmas, Mars, and female genitalia. Exclusive! @Ahelphand Yeah. Wayne rules! I'm not one who's into meeting musicians, and such, but I MUST meet him one of these days. I almost kind of got to meet him at Bonnaroo this year, but some assholes started yelling BOOOOO at him when he came out because they weren't doing an encore.

Wayne came out to hang out and those fuckers ran him off! That was so wrong. You do that shit to Axl Rose - not Wayne!
