This is a review of my Springfield Armory 1911-A1 Full Size GI in .45ACP.
I bought this handgun earlier this year as my 21st birthday gift to myself. I absolutely love this gun. It is a lot of fun to shoot.
One thing I forgot to mention is that the finish on this gun is really good. It holds up extremely well especially when using Hoppe's #9 to clean it.

LOL...When you did your physical check it reminded me of when I was at FLETC. I would say half of our class had no firearms experience at all. We had some beat up Ruger P95's I think. Well one of the girls doing the physical check hit her slide release and the slide closed on her finger. She screamed like she had been shot, scared the hell out of the instructor. Was really funny after we realized what happened.

@InfidelOpsSniper Agreed. I love 1911's. They have such an amazing history to them and of course they just look beautiful. One day I would like to own a vintage WW2 1911.
