I accept Eli Roth because my affection for Quentin Tarantino compels me to. Still, he's never really provided me with any convincing reason as to why he feels the need to tell these sorts of stories and use such sadist means to do so.
Yeah, the car crash scene in Deathproof fucked me up but the pay-off in the end of the movie was enough have me leaving feeling truly riveted. What the fuck does Hostel give you?
