2004 Subaru Forester Blown Turbo / Engine

Subaru forester ...
engine and turbo both went out ...
it got sand in the engine and it was done for.
end of story....
the car had a vf39, intake , fmic and it was tuned

after engine was replaced with a gt30r , crawford built engine made 400whp

Running too high of boost on the stock WRX turbo? Gotta love the white smoke of death coming from the turbo makes you want to cry lol. I would upgrade to like an 18G or VF22. Both are great streetable turbos with excellent top end power.

I agree, they are the ultimate sleeper and if you toss some mods and a tune on can make crazy power. Not to mention with suspension mods they can turn like crazy too!

That's right, it's not a turbo death. If engine smoked oil it's smoke on blue.

Def rebuildable. Seen some that are so blown that you can hear the shaft rattling like fucking crazy. GL sorry to see another boosted car off the road

looks like my tercel when the head gasket went bad, mine didn't dissipate as quick as that tho

looks like oil is getting into the turbine part of the turbo, my eclipse was smoking twice as hard as that, I noticed that the oil outlet was pinched causeing the inlet oil to surge into the turbine, when the problem was fixed, the smoke went away.
