Shannon

Shannon is Kevin Dobson's attempt to strike out on his own after years in the shadow of Telly Savalas on Kojak. It tells of N.Y.P.D. plainclothes detective Jack Shannon (Dobson) as he moves to San Francisco with his ten-year-old son after the untimely death of his young wife. Between dealing with his grief and raising his son as a single parent, he fights crime as part of the S.F.P.D. Special Squad of Investigators. Aired for one season on CBS from 1981 to 1982.

It was a good show that, unfortunately, didn't last too long, but at least Kevin Dobson got to show what he could do as a leading man. When he joined Knots Landing, he really got the attention he deserved.
