Incredible. Almost certainly better, and better-maintained, than the orig. when it (he?) was built for the show. Excellent sound quality, underlain by a supporting but non-intrusive musical score. Q: are you married, and if so how did you prevent the female from fleeing as soon as she saw this ultimate man-child project in the works? :-)
Oh my goodness.... absolutely awesome... Two thumbs waaaay-up for your passion and work.... I too grew up watching "Lost in Space" .. What a great show to watch as a kid... I still watch it on Hulu ..... Merry Christmas and Happy New Year... LM
Some Very Sad news to report:
Richard Tufeld who was the Voice of the Lost in space Robot has Died, (Sunday Jan 22nd 2012). He was 85.
My (& i am sure many many others including all of the B9 Robot Builders Club) condolences go out to his family at this sad time.
He will be Greatly Missed by All.

To answer your question:
I am very lucky as my Wife grew up watching Lost in Space too, and when i started building the robot i had a lot of support & help from her.
My daughters & Father in Law also helped with making some of the parts too.
Plus my father in law made the 'Robot Workshop' for me to keep him in
