Blue tape works on standard windows, but when you've got six panes of glass in one window, using blue tape would be a pain. :-) So I show you how to use cardboard to paint the window. Makes it easy.

  • I would not paint a window with this method. The paint should overlap onto the pane 1/8" all around to prevent moisture getting between the wood and glass. Inside and out. The best way is to use a good sash brush and a steady hand. Old time painters allowed 1 minute/ light. I take considerably longer. If you slip, it's easy to clean up later, but leave the 1/8" overlap!

  • Put tape on the edge of your 4" or 6" spackle/putty knife... faster, easier and neater.

  • epic... thanks for the tip!

  • i hope you dont consider yourself a professional painter! chump
