Shame on the Churches..Shame on the Government and Shame on the RCMP who tore weeping children from their heartbroken mothers. Mothers that HAD to sign guardianship of their children to the Church run residential where their attempt of Cultural genocide led to beatings, sexual, emotional and Spiritual abuse. Thank Creator and Kevin Annett for exposing the reality to the world that at least 50,000 innocent children "went missing" and never returned to their homes and families.

residential schools were the only way to educate children of isolated nomadic hunting bands in the '30s and '40s...they weren't there to subjugate indians...they were operated on the same standards as other schools of the time...the loser @1:58 has never been near a residential school and will never make $30k in his life...indians had tenancy of canada for 15000 years and have never produced anything but now that developement has occurred, indians have become injured landowners

i think all the land of canada belongs to First Nation ppl. there are nations all accross canada. this is THEIR FUCKING LAND. im amazed we havent gone to war over it yet. We stole it, lets give them the ability to mine their land and profit off THEIR land they would be sooo much better off, earning their own money. its like we are israel, ok, we came and took over all of palestine, a country that existed before israel. israel took all their land. same thing.

It is acknowledged by Australian Aboriginal people themselves that some missions did not do such a bad job. In the 19th century, it is mostly missionaries that have written down the grammar and vocabulary of indigenous languages as well as their traditions. Europe has not lost its identity on the introduction of the christian faith, but developed a culture closely linked to it. Many whites did not actually want to bring the christian faith to the indigenous people, but kill them as peoples.

Well, it is the duty of Christians to tell others about the sinful nature of men and Jesus as the savior. The christian faith had brought progress to Europe. However, many white settlers had preached christian faith, but in the same time believed to great extent in darwinist ideology. This does not suit!

On the other hand, we must acknowledge that there had been missionaries with respect for the indigenous people and their culture and wanted to help them out of altruism.

@TheWhiteBuster ....ps: to see our cultural revival, look up the English singer, "Damh The Bard", and the band from Finland called, "Korpiklaani". and last, the Russian band, "Arkona". these are the Avant Garde of traditional cultural revival in Europe! the whites who are lost fear this revival. they still call it Paganism. and they ridicule it the way they ridicule youre tradtional ways.

@TheWhiteBuster .......on the contrary! lots of us know full well what went down across the sea long before we came here. ...but its sad to see so many whites in North America,(and Europe, suprisingly), who are devoid of any understanding of even theyre own ancestors Pre-Christian cultures. nor do they know about youre cultures! these whites are lost. empty shells living empty lives devoted to only money and existance. i pity them.

My mom had to goto government school, she's the last sign of the old days. I don't even know MY native language.
