This is Princess, a purebred silver dapple miniature dachshund, at 9 months of age. This video was taken in late 2005. Princess has unusual colouring and has different coloured eyes, one blue and one brown. Her father is a silver dapple and her mother a red.

you are not teaching her right. the right way to do it would be to just show her it and give her a treat if she smells it then gradually go further by turning it on etc. by yelling at her no by barking at it you are teaching her not to interact with the toy.

Actually in dapples it's not uncommon to have either 1 eye blue or even both, I'm getting a dachshund this week and she's got 1 blue eye too...
