College Football Sunday Tennessee Volunteers @ UCLA Bruins (O/U 46 ½) (8:00PM ET) (ESPN)
The Rick Neuheisel era begins at UCLA and they must go with their third string quarterback Kevin Craft here after injuries to Ben Olsen and Patrick Cowan. I look for a conservative ball control offensive strategy for the Bruins in this game. With an inexperienced offensive line I expect quick drops and throws and those completions usually go for short yardage but can help move the chains. Running back Kahlil Bell will get the majority of the carries on the ground for the Bruins. First year quarterback Jonathan Crompton will get the start at quarterback for the Volunteers and he is making his first start on the road. UCLA's strength has been their defense so look for again another conservative game plan here with Arian Foster getting plenty of carries for the Volunteers. Both teams have speed in their secondary so both quarterbacks will need to make good decisions when throwing downfield. Once they cross they 50 each QB make look to test these secondaries and we could get some interceptions resulting in drive killers for the offense. This all points to an under so play Tennessee and UCLA under 46 ½.
Selection: UNDER 46 1/2
