Live At The Birchmere

Blue Trail Of Sorrow

(I) Blue (IV) trail of sor (I) row lies (IV) upon the (I) ground,
(V)And I get so lonely since you let me (I) down,
Well, I used to (IV) be so (I) happy walking (IV) on these (I) streets,
(V) Now there's just sadness everywhere I (I) meet,

Chorus:
(IV) Start walkin (I) baby, (IV) walk all over (V) town,
(IV) Sweet tears of (V) sadness fallin' (I) down,
(IV) Keep lookin' (I) baby, (IV) I won't be (V) around,
(IV) Blue trail of (V) sorrow on the (I) ground,

Now, when I had a dollar you'd stick right by me,
Now, I've got nothin' but blues for company,
Well, I think I'll leave tomorrow, I'm tired of this town,
But, it won't be hard to find me if you look down on the ground

Dan Tyminski - Guitar

  • There's no way you can compare the two. Ron Block plays like Ron Block and Ron Stewart plays like Ron Stewart. Stewart is probably the overall better musician, Ron Block a better song writer. At this level it isn't a matter of better, it's just taste.

  • Thanks for posting!

Dan is the BEST on this song -- its made for him. Only Man of Constant Sorrow is better for him.

He can cut steel with his voice -- it raises the hair on the back of my neck.

I'm really glad he has his own band -- its time for him to shine his own light. AK and Union Station have moved on. Go Dan!

  • @bjrpkr I agree. Ron may be the greatest overall bluegrass musician of all time

  • @bobthwart You're stupid. Over half of these guys were on the original cut of this song. Ron Stewart interpreted his own banjo solo, and Justin Moses is no Alison but does well in his own right. The rest cut the song. Learn facts

  • GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Love Dan LOVE the song, BUT watching these hired hands go through the motions of copy and paste solos was painful and killed the spirit of the moment

  • Excellence

  • Justin Moses is the most underrated musician in bluegrass. I have never heard one of his breaks (on four different instruments) that isn't outstanding. Listen to that fiddle...Mash it.

  • dude...no doubt that ron stewart is great. But alison brown is a flipping monster on the five string. youve clearly shown that you are not worthy of listening to either!
