  • 4:04 - that was the greatest thing about ACS, it would finish designing an adventure for you once you'd started it. It took forever on an 8-bit computer, and the results weren't very imaginative, but just imagine if that auto-generator software had advanced as far in the past 20 years as game graphics have. A whole new Halo any time you wanted one.

  • That would truly be awesome - instantly make your very own Halo sequels ! not sure it would be viable marketwise tho ;) Thx

  • This was a great game for its time. I still list it as a top 20 RPG.

  • Rightly so. This is as close as WoW gameplay would have been more than 20 years ago on an 8-bit machine.

  • I made a massive massive game on this when I was a kid. I probably spent more time on this game then any other game at that age. The files are probably all decayed by now, but they're still on 5.25" in my attic somewhere. Sigh.

  • I played this on my Commodore 64 when I was a teen. It took about 2 hours for the computer to construct your adventure but it was the coolest thing ever! I wish they had it today.

  • This really was the seed that got me building with the Neverwinter Nights toolset in 2000 AND currently with NWN2 even though its not the best thing ever made. Its the principle. We make our own games and we play in our own worlds. And sometimes I think EA forgets where they came from as they didn't include a multiplayer with their tool set for Dragon Age when they well know what Bioware can do.

Still I remember 45 minutes and five floppies :)

  • I had a lot of fun with the C64 version of this back in the day. I mostly played the 2 pregenerated adventures included with it, but may have tried "rolling up my own," too.

  • This was one of my favorites, too. I had just as much fun designing the sprites and levels as I did playing the results. (I never could get those water tiles to look quite right, though.)

  • i've played this before. It was great but MAN did you need a lot of time and patience to get anything done.

  • This game was great. Is there anywhere I can play this ??:-(

  • I played this game when I was 15 on the C64, and still have good memories from it.

  • Wistrik T' Evil lol

  • This games theme music was amazing on the C64.
