brings back memories. There was indeed a US army installation during the war, and prostitution was high.

My pop's left me a Calypso music book printed in the 50's after Belafonte was popularized in america......Cover in blue and yellow sun decoesque mirrored image...No Sparrow was to be found, all traditional like Matilda, Man smart - Woman Smarter....Music with the same substance of wonder bread...My Bahamian co-worker fixed me up with the best of the Mighty one...This is my favorite song from the bests - aside fom That is all

Although I am from J yard, Sparrow, Kitchener and Byron Lee & his Dragonaires is the music I grew up with. It brings back very fond memories, of those halcyon days when I didn't have to worry about things like my mortgage and the economy. In fact, I need a little ackee, saltfish & banana right now.
