The William & Mary Brass Ensemble plays the second movement of Gustav Holst's Second Suite in F for Military Band, Song Without Words/"I'll Love My Love," at its Fall 2008 recital.
not too bad but this song is very delicate you guys come off as too strong. i like the dynamics though. it needs to be a bit quieter, which is why i guess its better suited for woodwinds.
it sounds pretty good, but in my opinion i think it should stick with the woodwinds playing the melody for the most part, aka the whole band playing. but i think you guys sounds pretty together
Very nice. Give the french horn a break, it is a slow speaking instrument, and VERY hard to play. I've never heard that solo on a trombone before! it's always on a clarinet. I hope i can play my crap trombone that well eventually. Nice trumpet accompaniment, good strong background part.
Impressive for 5. But, it's a woodwind piece. Still a beautiful movement, though. Some of the slurred stuff was a bit wonky, but mostly good.

While the idea was nice, this really isn't a piece for brass to play...it still was better than I had expected.
