Got Me Going Crazy (chapter 11)

*the group goes to a Chinese restaurant. Mr. Jonas, Mrs. Jonas and Frankie get their own table. The JoBros and their friends grab a table of their own.*

Yvette: This place has the best food. My mom and I eat here all the time! You know their specialty is their sesame chicken.

Joe: Really?

Yvette: *puts some on her fork and places it in Joes mouth. He giggles as he eats it.*

Joe: *after he chews and swallow* wow that IS good!

*they both laugh as they pull a Lady and the Tramp using noodles. Kevin rolls his eyes as Steph giggles.*

Kevin: What are we going to do with them?

Steph: I have no idea!

Mrs. Jonas: *comes over to their table* Kids, finish up. Were getting ready to head out.

Nick: Ok mom.

Mrs. Jonas: *walks away*

Nick: *reaches in his pocket* aw, crap!

Joe: What?

Nick: I lost my wallet!

Kevin: Nick, its no problem, Ill tip the waitress.

Nick: Dude. I lost my wallet; of course its a problem! I think I left at that 7-eleven.

*Joe and Kevin groan*

Joe: So we have to back there?

Nick: If you dont mind...

Karina: whats so bad about it?

Nick: *gets up* youll find out...

*the boys follows their parents to the cars and they drive to the 7-eleven. Kevin stops the car.*

Kevin: Ok, Nick, 5 minutes! Go!

*Nick and Karina get out of the car and go into the store. Derek is behind the counter, elbow on the counter, chin in hand, looking bored. The random dude is standing in front of him, buying 3 packs of gum. He is yammering on*

Random dude: So anyway, then hes like "you havent tried Hubba Bubba gum?" and Im like, "No, I chew Wrigleys", and hes like "OK, heres $5. Theres a convenience store down the block. Go get some."

Derek Uh-huh, whatever. Thatll be $6.85...

Random dude: Then I get chased by a giant apple and when I get to the store I buy this gum and now I cant live without it!

Derek: *Slams both hands on the counter* I will give you the gum free if you go away now and never come back.

Random dude: thanks man! *grabs a few more packs and walks out. He smiles at Nick* Nick! My best friend! *hugs him*

Nick: Who are you?

Random dude: Gotta go! Later! *Leaves*

Karina: Who was that?

Nick: you dont wanna know. *goes to the counter* hey Derek, I think I dropped my wallet earlier, you find it?

Derek: yeah. *reaches behind the counter* thats funny. I found a wallet earlier today, but I cant-

Jessica: *appears* its right here. *tosses the wallet to Nick as Karina stares* What? What are you staring at?

Karina: Nothing! Nothing at all!

Jessica: Whatever. *walks away*

Derek: *sighs* shes quite a handful. By the way, Nick, Im glad youre here. I need you to work a couple of hours in the morning and possibly the evening every so often. Can I count on you to be ready if I need you?

Nick: sure I dont see why not.

Derek: Awesome!

Kevin: *walks in* Nick, whats the hold up?

Nick: I got offered more of a job here!

Kevin: Nick when are you going to learn- *stops when he sees the figure again outside*
