Learn more about Mucuna here: http://hyperionherbs.com

In this video I answer some questions about mucuna.

What are the benefits?
Can you become addicated?
Is it a true adaptogen?
And, much more.

Mucuna pruriens contains 40mg/g of a compound called L-DOPA which is a direct precursor to the neurotransmitter dopamine. Dopamine works as one of the best natural hgh releasers (human growth hormone) by stimulating the pituitary gland to increase it's production. High levels throughout life of the body's own natural growth hormone (not hormones from the synthetic injections) is known as a major key for human longevity.

  • thanks for putting this info "out there"

  • @GreylinRose you are quite welcome

  • I just bought some macuna seeds. I think I'm going to make my own alcohol extract. I can't wait to try it because I heard of how helps with anxiety and nervous system issues.

  • @todayisthedaytolive good luck!

  • Thank you for this info! From my 3 days of taking it now, I have to agree that it definitely enhances mood and creativity. I, myself, have always had a moderate amount of social anxiety and I don't seem to be experiencing the adrenaline rush, or whatever it is you feel, nearly as much when faced with unfamiliar social surroundings. This herb would probably be great before a job interview, too.

  • @HoFoShAo glad to hear that it is helping you out, balancing out dopamine and other neurotransmitters can really help with these kinds of issues.

  • @ushilives3 yeah, but youd have to be careful since it does contain l dopa and 5 htp. its a mild pharmahuasca and you should be safe if you dont overdo either of them

  • @acidbath32 was you being serious if you take passion flower with mucuna then you'll make pharmahuasca, i don't tend to try it out i was just curious.

  • dont take passion flower with this herb unless you want to explore pharmahuasca. and for those having problems with opiates, try valerian/hops/skullcap combo from vitamin world

  • mucuna is not available on hyperion herbs. Please bring mucuna back!

  • Everyone taking Mucuna Pruriens should take it with a COMT inhibitor. A natural source of it is Green Tea; black tea works too, but to a lesser extent. This will help the dopamine cross the BBB. I have heard anecdotally that L-Tyrosine goes well with Mucuna.

  • Go to sleep. Wake up after 6 hours. Take Mucuna Pruriens. Go back to sleep. Have the greatest action movie-like dreams you ever had.

  • Mucuna. The Party Herb.

  • can you take this at the age of 18?

  • @herbgardner00 Hey I am only limited with my experience as far as herbs and how the body works. But I have been addicted to opiates and then I kicked it and somehow got myself addicted to Kratom. I have now kicked the Kratom. My question is that opiates and alkaloids work on opioid receptors, is there a natural high similar to this without the horrible withdrawal? Thanks.

  • I have issues with depression and had bad anxiety from it in 09. I started taking Cacao then and it's helped me alot. I also started taking St Johns Wort last year and I found that helps too, but I recently found out about this Mucuna stuff from D.Wolfe and I'm gonna give it a go. What does it taste like?
