A hapless Paraglider pilot trys to launch in very windy conditions in Hollister CA. Unlucky for him some Hang Glider pilots got to catch it on video and make sarcastic comments at the same time. All in good fun :-)

  • stupid pilot

how can he try to fly in this windy weather?crazy

  • Well, ACTUALLY, I'm a professional Paraglider pilot with several THOUSAND hours and have flown 3 World championships. SO, Keep training and perhaps in another 10 years you will know what you are talking about!

He is not even trying to fly, just ground handling, to me he looks like he is on a very flat slope and taking the piss out of some hangies, if he gets in trouble it would take him a split second to spin around and full stall the glider, not very dangerous for a good pilot.

  • Actually, smart ass, I'm a P3 aerobatic pilot with several hundred hours in paragliders. Idiots like you are the ones dying out there. What's dangerous about that?? If you can't see what's dangerous here maybe you should get yourself a nice used comp wing off eBay and huck off a cliff too... You'll find out fast. GET TRAINING OR STAY ON EARTH, WANNABE!

  • You suck! What is dangerous about that? typical coments from hangies, you are a pack of dinasours, about to die out!

  • Windsock indicates less than 10mph wind

  • You notice the stiffies are not attempting to fly... bad back? :)

  • you mean: "Things like this are why we're going to loose our PILOTS" ;-)

  • The wing this cat's *trying* to fly is a DHV3 competion rated aerobatic aircraft. If he's still alive I hope he's at least found a glider more suited to his ability. Things like this are why we're going to lose our sport.
