  • Cash for Clunkers is wasteful. It's like the "Broken Window Fallacy". Poor working people and students NEED those cars that are being crushed.

  • Who the hell thought of this program? How exactly is this supposed to help the AMERICAN auto industry. People are trading in their old American cars for more fuel efficient IMPORT cars like Toyota and Honda. A lot of these cars aren't even clunkers, but they are going to get crushed anyway. Instead of giving them to a struggling family that could use it. Now does that make any bit of sense? This country is in a downward spiral and we're gonna hit bottom fast.

  • fuck toyota they cars are killing people

  • ha ha ha its funny new metal from tho cars yea ok their some of tho cars have rust ok later on if they use the metal from tho car to put on new cars later on in life tho new cars are going to have rust on them that what i think is funny they try this befor with the 90's cars and look what happined 80's and 90's cars have lots of rust coz they used metal from 70's and 60's cars that had rust fucking ass holes dont even get it yet

  • Think I'm going to trade in my Dodge Ram Van for some little ugly plastic front wheel drive car? You got another thing coming! Dead serious.

  • You need a better reporter. The program does NOT benefit salvage dealers. He tells you that the unsold body parts have to be crushed after 180 days. Most body parts won't be used within that time. So they really only get the scrap metal value for most of the cars.

About half of the salvage value comes from the engine, transmission, and related parts.. These parts are unable to be resold. They are also the parts most commonly requested at salvage yards.

You reported the opposite of the facts.

  • i liked that jeep

  • wow who the fuck traded in that comanche?> thats almost as bad as the dakota converble i saw get traded in

  • thats fuckin great ..who makes out on this ??? a jap comapny ..[TOYOTA] that will really help our economy by trading in on a jap car...good for you ..ASSHOLE..

i'm sure toyota needs more of our money ...the jap car makers should[NOT] be part of this program at all ...screw toyota and honda and any other jap car maker out there

  • dont like what i have to say, too bad. i saw they are going to trash a delorean and a dodge dakota convertable. i hate people that trade in aged american cars that have stood the test to time and replace replace it with a clunker toyota. good greif, this sucks
