Ofc I am serious (even though I say it with a smile :) ). I purchased some silk just the other day and I'm ready to start with it.
Btw, I just found out that millions of silk moths are killed in the process of silk production, I did not know that! For the future I will try painting on artificial silk instead, hopefully the paints will result in a similar effect on it.
Thanks a lot for taking the time to show me this technique, dear Haiying!

I'm really curious to try that myself! But I'm puzzled, not sure what kind of store to look in for the paste. Is it something you get from the art supplier?
And having no idea what the exact term for it would be in my language adds extra fun to my task lol :)

Ok, if you are really serious, I will find some other material that works the same to show you.

does the paste have a strong odor? i have never tried any sort of discharging paste before. I would love to see it's reaction to the paste.

It does have an unpleasant odor, like dying our hair. The mechanism is the same, extract the color. I do it outdoor, and i dilute it for liquidity and I am not sensitive. All in one. lol
