Thanks for my first look inside an RTA train. Looking forward to using it when I get back to the States, particularly if I end up moving to Cleveland.
It's too bad it appears in the video you're the only person in town who uses it.

this video was taken on the waterfront line which is a small loop on the lakefront downtown. its not heavily used and the posted said it was bad weather that day. it serves browns stadium, the rock hall, and the science center. they tore down the flats and are redeveloping an entire new neighborhood so when that is constructed the waterfront line will be used more to its potential.

I rode the Water Front line a couple of years ago it was neat, too bad they cut service on it though.

Once I was on the waterfront line and the operator was f...ing sleeping

not that much these days. They cut back half the service. Its great for a regular train ride but their is not much more of an advantage to it. just another way to have fun.

how many people in cleveland use the light rail?is it better than using a car/bus?
-
Well, looked like no lawyers now, No anybody seems like on that train.
-
Thanks for the look. I have not been on one since the old blue ones were running. In Houston now.

Thanks for posting the video. That shot at 27 seconds reminds me exactly why I left Cleveland and moved out West. It looks EXACTLY like every morning I went to St Ignatius High School. Cold, wet, industrial, oppressive, studying for algebra among the lawyers.

How steep is the grade going into Tower City? Amtrak and freight trains are usually hurting if they encounter anything more than 2-3%; rapid transit EMUs can usually handle something a little bit more extreme (4-5%). But each railroad line or system has its own capabilities and limitations.
when it was going into tower city you said traction problems was it the snow messing with it or what?

Snow and Ice. The weather was bad that day. As you can see from the video, the train had a tough time climbing into the tower. I suspect the main problem was the ice .
