The military of today is just a corporate goon squad that enables rich people, to enjoy posh life in Laguna Beach, race yachts and drink champagne. You're just modern-day gladiators thinking that you're doing it for your country or God. I guess patriotism in this context means shutting off parts of your brain that facilitate critical thinking.

2. You do the bidding of the rich 1% who have enormous financial stake in war profits in terms of oil flow and military contracts. Your enormous sacrifice makes it possible for KBR and Haliburton executives to secure a second yacht and a French villa.

but calling the military a corporate goon squad? Men and women are sent across the globe by the government, they dont profit from combat, its one of the most selfless acts one can perform. And as far as the Haliburton line, we have heard it all before. And you're not a liberal? well you sure stole their talking points from them then. And its fine to not agree with the war, thats your right but calling our troops names goes completely over the line.

Part of living in a democracy is voting and then accepting collective responsibility for the actions of the government.

Troops go to serve in the name of the country, right or wrong, they follow orders.

If you don't like what they are doing then vote out those who send them, not those serving. Those serving, are due respect and thanks, save criticism for the politicians.

I haven't served but respect those who do. If you don't vote then you have no right to complain.

Lets Remember What July 4th 2010 is all about: Our Founding Fathers ~ God ~ All Americans and their Family's that severed in past wars, present wars and future war's.
