This time I'm playing with the distortion from the Boss ds-1 pedal. It's connected straight into the Engl clean channel, no effects. I'm trying to reach for a warmer sound out of the les paul chambered body.

  • You got a warm and nice LP tone... wow! I have same guitar (LP standard faded, innit?) and same amp; ENGL screamer is a tricky eq beast. I use a tubescreamer TS7 to get warm tones and its amazing. Keep uploading vids man, you're doing great!

  • Your Videos are the beste man ! and your playing is awesome, keep on making videos !

    cheers from norway :)

  • @juca2929 wats the brand of ur amp?

  • juca2929, that's not a chambered Les Paul, dude. ;-) The Faded series was simply weight-relieved via the 9 drill holes, just like they've been doing on all Les Pauls since 1983. They're just round drillholes to remove some of the woodt. They're not sound chambers and do not affect the sound. Gibson's just trying to confuse people these days so as to make the >2008 chambered Stds more accepted, so they deliberately blur the distinction between weight relief and chambering.

  • @LedZeplican Despite the description, the Faded series of Les Paul Standards was not chambered. They have the 9-hole weight relief, but all Gibson USA-made Les Pauls since 1983 have that. They're still solidbodies. Gibson's only trying to mentally blur the distinction between weight relief and chambering on their website these days because the chambered Les Paul Stds don't prove as popular as they thought they'd be.

  • How about an SG? theyre light, heavy neck(but i dont care) nice slim neck, great action. Great sound. Sometimes like a LP if set right
