@leojrevlis I mean, I don't know... as far as high school productions go it's impossible to cast correctly. The entire energy of the show is the struggle between aging people and their younger memory-selves. When everyone is 15 through 18 it's just not there. Plus, there's a whole bunch of material dealing with cheating on your spouse. Like, a whole bunch. All four main characters do it.

@mrtmulcahey Yeah - it was a difficult piece for these kids to wrap their brains around, but they did a nice job. I was not the director, but I helped the actors with their characters a bit. Officially, I was the scenic designer.

This show seems to work best with a bunch of "real-Broadway" aging star-actors playing the roles. Even an older "community theatre" cast-of-unknowns will lack the sparkle needed.

God I wish I went to this high school. We just had Miss Friendenberg banging on the piano. Very impressive looking. But what a very odd choice for teens to do.
