My father washes his hands with pure bleach today. He has had OCD since he was a teenager and to this day, he is in denial. He is now 55 years old and unmedicated OCD sufferer.

@ThisChickISASwiftFan Thank you Chick, yeah, I am a jerk, and since I've been raped up the butt, I am bitch. So What? I was really bothered by that video- I would think an OCD person would know, perhaps better than others, that moving the base away from the shelf makes it rest better.
I once had a student who was a nail biter. I researched the condition and read that the only supposed cure involved heavy drugs. okay. But I also observed that simply telling her to stop had immediate effects.

Force yourself to not do it and guess what...your not gunna fucking die or whatever your ritual is your doing it for. Nothing bad is gunna happen if you stop. So just look at yourself an say " this is fucking stupid why am I doing this?" and you will eventually just stop.
