David M. Rubenstein, Co-Founder and Managing Director of The Carlyle Group, introduces the 2011 Junior Achievement Essay Competition.
The competition will award $110,000 in scholarships to ten high school students for writing an essay on the topic, "How can young entrepreneurs and the local governments of DC, Maryland, and Virginia work together to empower the next generation to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Greater Washington?" It will also award $18,000 in grants to three local high schools.
