what a fantastic camera, and a great target audience in the way that it allows you to grow with the camera. I might invest in one of these i think.

What a great camera! I wish I have money for it, I'm still on compact crap that is more than 3 years old...But I will buy this camera one day!

Great stuff! I own it, as well as the 18-55 II and 55-300 Pentax lenses. BTW, maybe, it's not a reason to buy it, but I really like the lcd on top of the camera.

Isn't the Sv mode the same as the Program mode found on many prosumer cameras? What's the P mode on the camera then?

No. The Sv mode is Sensitivity Priority. It allows the photographer to adjust the sensitivity, or ISO, with the turn of a dial while the camera automatically adjusts the shutter speed and aperture.
