For those with an unsteady hand using a silicone gun , here's a pretty good method of getting a nice finish on a sink or bath etc.

  • nice video,i am about to take part in a bit of this myself, here goes..............

  • @7547JAMES Good luck :0)

  • That's really neatly done. Can i just ask, why did you use fairy liquid?

  • @wasimsworld Use 50/50 water / washing up liquid , this enables your finger / caulking tool to glide over the top of the silicone.

DONT LICK YOUR FINGER TO DO IT!!!!

I wouldn't use transluceant myself , if there is a large gap in what you're caulking you can see it thru' the clear stuff.

    Cheers

  • Great video for those doing reno's for the first time. Though I am surprised they still make that type of faucet ! I used to hate the separate taps unless in a laundry tub joined by a hose.. Cold, hot, cold, hot, frustrating trying not to scald yourself but at least you have the cold water handy to sooth lol.

  • @TunedCavityLasers Thanx for the positive response.

  • I love that sink you Brits have awesome decorative stuff for homes. BTW use a frozen pop stick to run against it and you wont need any tape less for the garbage bin

  • @Dames12345 Brilliant cheers !!

  • I've got the transparent silicone stuff, is that ok to use as well?

  • @David45Abq You havent ofended me at all , but if you listen to what I say , this not for pro's like us but for the amateur. It's an option for people who don't do diy and dont have silicone formers etc.

It's not how I do it in my trade - 23yrs - but it might help those not in a trade.

    regards
