3D Simi Motion Hand Grab Analysis

A 3D hand grabbing analysis captured a hand grasping an object using the motion capture software from Simi Reality Motion Systems. After attaching multiple 3mm retro-reflective markers to the hand the software automatically recognizes and trackes the markers on the video capture, allowing for the subsequent analyses of the hand for medical (tremor anaylsis) or animation purposes. Tremor anaylses through motion capture is helpful in diagnosing hard to reconize illnesses such as Parkinsons.
