I adore the intensity in this song....it's one of those rare songs where you stop whatever you are doing just to listen.

so we've established that radio head are GOOD and there version of this song is AMAZING while damien rice is AMAZING and his cover of this song is just GOOD
damien is the better artist i think but this is just a good cover of an ever better song.

no way is it better than the original. It may be a good cover but without the haunting melody of Thom Yorke's voice it nothing

I find it too close to the original. Damien should make a version of its own,

73ME4U, yes, I find the 2 versions similar as well. However, there is enough of a difference in the way Damien sings it that he changes the tone of the song. RH expresses sarcasm & anger, whereas Damien expresses sadness & desperation w/ a stronger sense of self pity.
It's as if Damien is screaming "Look at me! Look at the pain you are putting me in", thus begging for sympathy & mercy. Whereas Thom's version screams "U self centered, arrogant bitch!", mocking the object of his affection.
