Beaucerons helped create the Doberman, and the Rottweiler is completely separate from both these breeds. Ask any of the Beauceron people who really know their stuff

The Beaucerons were one of the breeds mixed to create the doberman. That's where the Doberman get's it coloring. And they look like german shepherds because they are 'french shepherds.
