  • 7:55 Bus doesn't stand for anything (isn't an acronym), it's named after the public transport things that pick up and drop off passengers (data in this instance) at predetermined locations (addresses). << a bit fast and loose.

    A very late addendum, maybe helpful to some. shrug

  • neither me or google has ever seen it where you describe multiple DIMM modules as memories.

    Only when you're talking about different kind of memories, such as the difference between cache and DRAM.

    But I won't argue you probably know more.
