I love this performance, I love the impromptu setting, Noel with his coat on, the papers and coffee cup on the desk, the guitar on the floor. Noel's isolation from the other people in the room, he looks exhausted and ill. He is singing for himself, totally unselfconsciously. He is singing about hurt and pain in his life. This is an utterly brilliant performance, hard to watch without out tears.

When I see Noel lookin' wasted like this I always wonder if he tied a big one on the night before, or if he's in bittersweet reflective mode about his tragic relationship with his dad and Liam, or both?

Regardless, he's there doin' a free on-air promotional gig in a radio studio, which is something Liam was always too wasted to do... and couldn't be trusted to partake in at the end.
