@krazycardude dude i drive my Fiero everyday, turning without power steering is easy unless your stopped. and even then, unless your an utter weakling its not that difficult. besides, the lack of power steering has benifits, such as lighter weight, and more accurate control of the steering and a better feel of the road. some power steering systems suck and arent very predictable, the manual steering on a Fiero makes it much better to drive on a windy road.

Nice numbers.
The LQ1 needs more love than it often gets. God, I miss my 94' GTP.

@5Bulldawg0 Agreeing, 100%. I really don't like powersteering cars. Especially when the power steering fails. It's worse than a car that originally didn't have power steering.

@psychoninja911 Ever been driving in a Fiero? Yes its WHAT I OWN hahaha I drive it every day. and I know you will feel the wobble and looseness when the front wheels start to loose traction, that is why I said it gives you more accurate control and a better feel of the road, because you CAN feel what is going on with the front tires, that feeling is a good thing. Idk if you were agreeing or arguing with me...lol but my point is that the lack of power steering in the Fiero is a plus. lol

@psychoninja911 My wife has a Scion TC, with very wide tires... It's almost impossible to know when you have loss of control until you realize you're sliding straight instead of turning.
I know, why not just drive slower? Why worry about pavements and the slight moment before your car loses control?
Well, I don't do it around others, an I enjoy challenging myself daily :)

@5Bulldawg0 Personally, I find manual steering in a fiero to be VERY easy. I've gotten in some powersteering cars after being in a fiero and going "what the fck..."
But as to "feel of the road". Allow me to emphasize.
Ever been driving in a fiero? Hit a turn on a semi slick street. You WILL feel the wheel get wobbly/loose when the front wheels start to lose traction. That even goes for FWD cars too.

Fuck a V8! 0_0

I want a fiero with the new 323 hp 3.6 DI in the Camaro (Its gonna be updated soon to 323 hp, currently 312)

I personally do not like the way the LQ1 was made. Thats just me personally. (Maybe cause i have an L67 in mine) But no matter how the motor is built. you put up higher numbers so you are the winner. Good job!! Gotta love your fiero! :)

was that your head gaskets after you let out ?? wondered about the white smoke?

holy fuck what is your power band? and whats you redline at it sounds like you were pushing 7500 at least.

Sweet! Do you mind if I "borrow" this video and say it's my car?
kala, I have OBD1.5, but used a Split Sec FTC1 piggyback.
417 now bitch. Highest 3.4 dyno yet.
frrd, yes, that's why I said it's the stock Getrag 282 5-speed.

6600. The tune was Godawful, so it wasn't too rev happy. I consistently turn the motor to 7500rpm now that the tune is much better.

The turbo is an off the shelf Garrett GT35R. Dual ball bearing, water cooled, T4 housing with a 3" V-band discharge. It sits above the transmission, and below the driver's side decklid vent. The tranny is the stock Getrag 282 5-speed, with stock diff. The suspension is also stock.

how much did it take you to get to this point?

As far as money? I'm not even sure, I don't care either. I do it because it's my hobby and I love it, not because it's cost effective, cheap, or profitable. Because it isn't. At all. I'd say about $8000 total, including the car. But all of the labor is mine.

It all depends. Same as any other motor swap really. It was pretty straight forward, though I did a lot of custom work, and didn't cut any corners.
