in the time of Voz de Cabo Verde, there were dances that would be held and major bands such as Voz de Cabo Verde would play international music, everything from rock to the Argentine tango. Remember there were no DJ's at the time, so bands were required to bring all types of music to the dance floor. Cape Verde is a very cosmopolitan country, due to its location in the atlantic and its role in the world of ship and fleet movement between europe and the Americas.
