I was a friend of Jay's, and he wasn't a dick. Tweedy has a well-documented history of not getting along with others and and at times firing them. People named Jay (ie, Bennett and Farrar) appear to be major targets. RIP JB

In my opinion, Jay Bennett made Wilco what they are today. He was so incredibly gifted that it nearly brought tears to your eyes. I saw them in Kansas City in 1999 (right after Summerteeth came out) and was completely awestruck with the amount JB contributed to this band. I couldn't take my eyes off the guy, because he was the backbone of the band, and was so multi-talented. God bless you Jay Bennett.

I really love Jay. He friended me on MySpace a few years ago and our friendship took off from there. He was always a sweet guy who defended himself against a sometime unkind world. Our last time together was somewhat magical (Virginia is for Lovers, after all!). I pray for his beautiful, misunderstood soul.

Wonderful. One of my favourites in the cd. The sound is perfect!.
Best wishes from Salamanca, SPAIN!!!.

@carlos002nz Thanks, brother. Best wishes from an oily Gulf coast state in America.

@init4fun Thanks for your comment. I'm terribly sorry by the BP oil spill. I follow it with attention. We had in Spain a great catastrophe of this type a few years ago.
I am a great supporter of Barack Obama, but I do not know if he could do it better in this case. If BP wasn't clear he shoud have taken the control and call the best americans in the subject, the specialist of the Army too to solve it. Obviously, BP was to blame. "She's a Jar". WILCO. We speak of music. Have a nice day!.

@carlos002nz Yes. It's a big catastrophe. We KNOW the United States is a Corporatocracy (government run by corporations), and, as likable as Obama is or his speeches may be, it's what he DOES, not says, that matters. I do like how wise he appears to be, but his policies resemble more of a third Bush Presidency term than any of his soaring campaign rhetoric suggested. In other words, he governs more like Bush than Bush did. I prefer Bolivia's form of direct democracy to ours, actually. Cheers!
