This is a film showing the kind of narly insane rigs we had to motion capture for the Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions. This was mostly shoi\t in Sydney Australia.

@amitkatz your definition is kinda off, body markers is one way of doing motion capture, also the markers are not used as a reference guide by animators, the points gets processed automatically by a tracking application, and in most professional mocap studios they have theirs specialized programs to mostly automate the process.

I thought they used doubles, or stunts. It's so cool they did it themselves.

motion capture is when you put little markers on people's bodies and have a lot of cameras record the action. the markers are then used as a reference for animation. it makes animation look a lot more realistic than if the animators had just done everything by hand. it's used in pretty much everything that involves computer animation now.
