It was the early 70's and I was a year or so younger than she, I noticed Diana walking away from me, alone, in that hallway seen in the video. (The Principal, Mrs.Jones' office is nearby) She walked away toward the new gym on crutches, before the prosthesis. She was so positive and strong. One could see that immediately. Instant crush. We never met. Years later on a long and boring flight, I reached for a boring-looking magazine and there I learned about her skiing success. -Jeff Manzelli
